Josh and Emily’s wedding at the Brazilian Room will be a forever favorite.
I was so honored to photograph Emily + Josh’s wedding at the Brazilian Room in Berkeley, CA. I absolutely love it when I get the chance to work with couples who have put together such a unique and fun wedding style — especially when their wedding is filled with so many favorite things. If I could do my wedding all over again, it would absolutely be modeled after Emily and Josh’s incredible style!
Their Brazilian Room wedding was modern and romantic- yet artistic in such beautiful ways. Combining color, confetti, and California scenery, this wedding could not have been more incredible!
We first captured their first look in the forest that morning before they held an intimate ceremony at the Brazilian Room in Berkeley. They celebrated with their friends and family for a luncheon before we headed to Downtown San Fran to celebrate some more! I absolutely adored the way they set up their day- having a morning ceremony + luncheon gave them time to soak in the day with their loved ones before the party began.
We took their first set of portraits at high noon, which can always be a bit intimidating, but they are some of my all time favorite bridal portraits. After we left the Brazilian Room at Tilden Park, we made our way to Emily and Josh’s second venue for the evening. They turned the photography studio into an art museum, completely reminiscent of their relationship, and painted a pink wall as an installation (which doubled as a gorgeous backdrop)! It was by far one of the most unique ways of decorating I’ve ever seen, giving their guests a look through their relationship as they celebrated that evening. And a pink backdrop for portraits? You know I’ll never say no to that.
