Meisha and Phil’s beach engagement in Santa Monica is one of my all time favorites. California’s summer weather is so fun and dreamy for engagement portraits! I had an amazing time visiting last month to meet with Meisha and Phil, who are originally from Australia and been living across the US for the past few years.

They’ve been living in Santa Monica for a while now and are packing up to go back home to Australia to tie the knot, but before they leave, they wanted an engagement session to represent their time here in Santa Monica. They both have a love for the ocean and Phil is even a professional surfer! The beach was an ideal setting for an artistic and carefree vibe that I’m sure will have them missing their California days once they are back home. 

They made their session so personal, sentimental, and fun. Not only was the session meaningful because it was for their engagement, but because they put so much thought into what each detail and location meant to them!
