I’ve always been on the hunt for the best black and white Lightroom preset. One that minimized the distraction of color without distracting from my photographs themselves. They always seems too complicated, too trendy, or too HDR-ish. Why purchase so many presets that I have to spend hours tweaking to look how I’d like?

When building out both our True to Color and Editorial Preset Packs, I knew I wanted our black and white presets to be two fold. I wanted there to be a bold, contrasted version that separated the subject from their surroundings. But alongside that, a more muted and simplistic black and white. A BW preset that would have a timeless yet more filmy feel. Thus our black and white presets were born!
