This wedding at Rosewood Tucker’s Point in Bermuda is one of my favorites. If I painted my perfect December for you, it wouldn’t be surrounded by snow (much to my skiing husband’s dismay) but by sand. By bright blue water. By color. COLOR EVERYWHERE. And this past December my perfect December came true. Even more so, because I was photographing a wedding that had my heart bursting at the seams like a kid at Christmas. Alex and Kayleigh’s wedding had me thinking “This. This is why I do this” at every turn.

Alex is an amazing photographer based in Bermuda (see his work here), and working with photographers is one of my favorite things. They know the ins and outs, they know what to expect. He and Kayleigh welcomed us with open arms from the moment we arrived on their little island, and I still get a little sappy thinking about their kindness throughout their wedding weekend.

I began the day with Kayleigh getting ready with her girls at Rosewood Tucker’s Point, surrounded by the sweetest souls. Alex and Kayleigh were officially wed in her childhood church, it was amazing seeing the nostalgia that encompassed their loved ones there. They partied throughout the night with their closest people, who were all as welcoming as the couple themselves. It felt like attending a friends wedding more than work, for which I am eternally grateful.
